Re: MatView() and Multiple Processes

Perfect Matthew thanks...I was trying the -display with localhost:0.0 and all possible permutations but it seems your incantation is the correct one.

Cheers,

Tim.

Hi all,

I was just wondering if someone can tell me how to configure my
dual-core laptop to allow graphical X11 output of my PETSc matrices.
MatView() works fine on my parallel code with 1 process but I get the
following errors on each process when I use more than one:

[0]PETSC ERROR: --------------------- Error Message
------------------------------------
[0]PETSC ERROR: Error in external library!
[0]PETSC ERROR: Unable to open display on localhost.localdomain:0.0
. Make sure your COMPUTE NODES are authorized to connect
    to this X server and either your DISPLAY variable
    is set or you use the -display name option

Thanks in advance as always,

Tim.
