[AG-TECH] multicast on Vista? how can i check, configure it?

hi,

i'm checking for multicast before trying AG on vista but can't seem to make
it work. here's the symptom:

running VLC to a multicast address shows no activitiy in VLC apparently.
however, the task manager shows the appropriate number of bits hitting
the network card. all firewalls and virus scanners are turned off. what's
blocking the bits from getting to the application?

PS other tests, such as Internet2 Detective, also fails to see multicast.
