Re: [AG-TECH] venue client only sees some local nodes but all video/audio streams ok?

Dean,

Yes, you're right. Switching to unicast doesn't help. Seems the venue client itself is the only
part of AG that doesn't see all the participants--it sees two buildings but not two other bldgs.
Could this still be a networking issue? Or is it a Venue Client issue? BTW, the DVTS streams
also follow what the Venue Client sees and doesn't see the sources the Venue Client doesn't
see. I guess that makes some sort of sense.

Any thoughts?

Not MC, as the venue client connection doesn't use multicast, only the

Dean,

I wouldn't have thought of that but unfortunately it must be something
else. It was all
working yesterday :-) so there has been no major changes of clients.
Being selective
in showing who's in the venue makes me suspect networking/mcast
issues,
or venue
client issues maybe? i'll try re-booting now i guess....

thanks,

Not to be too obvious, but if you're in a venue with a 2.4 client,
you'll see the a/v streams from all the clients (2.4 & 3.0.2), but
only
the venue client presence of other 2.4 clients. That has to do with
the
2.4 and 3.0 venue servers being bridged together, so that the 2
environments can interact. This may not be your problem but I
thought
I'd throw it out.

hi,

for some reason just today, my windows AG node can only see itself

and

another linux
node in the same physical room/subnet as participants in the AG
venue
client listing.
this is in the RIT Venue on the ANL server.

the linux node can see itself, the windows node, and one other
linux
node on campus. but
there are half a dozen other windows nodes on campus, whose video
streams all show up in both the
windows and linux nodes in the RIT Venue.

both the linux and windows nodes see many streams and participants
in
the ANL Lobby.

there's something going on locally, i presume, but i have no idea

what.

 any clues?

thanks,

-gurcharan
