Re: [AG-TECH] Rat and MBUS problems

Hi !

Good to hear You got it working.

Actually only oss-emulation works for my m-audio card. Alsa is still a problem.

It's ticket #74 at sumover.

Switching to SUMOVER RAT, all of our problems went away. I found it
odd that it used to work up until a few days ago.

Hi !

I used to have this problem with rat 4.2.22 on fedora 6 64-bit em64t
with m-audio 2496 / ice1712 card.

The way i 'fixed' it was I installed old soundblaster card on the same
machine and even if it was not default the mixer would start to work
on m-audio.

Anyway never rat from SUMOVER and alsa 1.0.14-0.1.rc1 works for me.

You have to remove the -S option lines from AudioService.py to use
SUMOVER rat.

Mbus problems are often due to a host firewall blocking UDP port 47000. Did you enable a different firewall configuration when rebooting?

No, no firewalls on either machine. The odd thing was thing was that I replaced the soundcard in one Linux machine and the MBUS errors went away. I'm now trying to use the SUMOVER's version of RAT to see if that fixes the other clients.
