I have the same problem; My Venue Server is a Fedora core 6, and all my
Venue Client on Windows XP, this happened eventually in some clients.

I restart the server and  clients, all works again for a while.

Sorry i was my VenueClient. Itry to search logs what went wrong.  
Restarted twice  but third time gave me chat again.

I'm on fedoora here.
