Hi Chris,

Derek,

Could you try the "Reload" button in Synaptic, or "apt-get update" from command line, and try again? I made some late dependency changes just for the sarge version which also changed these packages' names (to agzsi_2.0.r1365-1sarge_i386.deb and accessgrid_3.0.2-1sarge_i386.deb respectively).

Also, I was wondering if these packages play nice with the AccessGrid 2.4 release from Steve Smith? I have those installed too and I'd like to be able to run both, but I'm not seeing any sort of indiciation of a compatibility add-on like there is for the RedHat/ Fedora packages.

I hadn't tried that, but did so just now (is it really 2.4? I could only find 2.3). It looks like there's a name clash for Quickbridge, so its probably easiest if I make a change in the AG3 packaging - later on today. I was hoping to to avoid an extra compat package but ...

Until then you'd have to deinstall your AG2 package to try the AG3 package.

We now have AG3 packages available for Debian sarge, etch & Ubuntu edgy from:
http://www.vislab.uq.edu.au/research/accessgrid/software/ debian/index.html The only known problem at this stage is lack of a working SharedPresentation for the sarge version (the openoffice pyuno module doesn't load correctly).
Please try them out and let me know of any problems or suggestions (or SharedPresentation solutions for sarge).
