Security applications suit more inputs than capture ability.  But I'd agree
with you, their pre-sales documentation does suck.  It "hints" in the
documentation by omission.  Note if you'd looked at the 440 it immediately
says "The Osprey 440 is a 64-bit four-channel multi-port audio and video
capture card.".
