I would recommend using r_3_0_2_final since bugtesting is done before 
releases.  (Unless your interested in developing or bugtesting of 
course.  There is an ag-dev mailing list if you are.)

Tom mentioned you'd need pyOpenSSL:

I also noticed that for r_3_0_2_final, tools/GenerateInterfaces.py 
refers to zsi's older names "wsdl2py.py" and "wsdl2dispatch.py" instead 
of the newer names "wsdl2py" and "wsdl2dispatch".  You can remove the 
".py" on lines 26 and 27.

There is now a default setting in preferences for personalNode=1, since 
personalNode is usually used.
  The command-line option will override that (hence the need for "=0" 
or "=1").

I changed the README-developers line that you noticed was incorrect.

The default venue (just hit "Go" button to the right of the url) should 
have video and audio, although people may not be talking all the time. 
If you don't have multicast you'll need to use a bridge (Tools->Bridges).

If your router acts as a firewall you may have to open ports to allow 
media traffic through.  Selecting Venue->Properties from the menu will 
list the addresses and ports currently in use in the current venue.  It 
may be more useful to look at the port ranges of bridges here: 
Tools->Preferences->Network
