[Fwd: Re: [AG-TECH] agtk 3.0.2 and Windows XP64]

I'm forwarding Paul's response to the list to close the loop on whether AG3 works on XP64.

Hi tom,

File attached. The first line gave it away - couldn't get an IP address. The user uninstalled the toolkit, renewed the IP lease and re-installed; it's fine now.

This machine is dual-hosted, one with a private connection down to our NAS, so it may have been internally confused.

Thanks

Hi Paul:

There may be a VenueClient.log file in

C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\AccessGrid3\Logs

the content of which may indicate the problem. If the problem is not evident to you or the user, you could send it (privately) for me to look at. If there is no such file, do this:

- Open a command shell
- cd C:\Program Files\AGTk-3\bin
- run VenueClient3.py --debug

and send the text that is displayed.

Tom
