In the VenueServer.cfg file, there are options for
dataPortRangeStart and dataPortRangeEnd.  The
range of ports specified by these options must be
open for TCP through the firewall.  If you do this
and it doesn't resolve the problem for you, let
me know so we can determine your problem and
fix it.

I've found the cause of the problem.  It is due to a misconfiguration of
the data transfer ports used by the venue server, implemented when I
introduced the institutional venues on Sunday.  Correcting it will
require a restart of the server, which will occur later tonight.
