Re: [AG-TECH] AG How To - Dummies Guide

Hi Jim!

You can find a hardware reference contributed by the AG community at: http://www.accessgrid.org/hardware
However you won't find a rating on these components there. For that reason you might want to browse the ag-tech
mailing list archive (http://www-unix.mcs.anl.gov/web-mail-archive/lists/ag-tech/maillist.html)
for issues which came up during operation at other poeples AG nodes..

Wiring basically depends upon your choices of hardware you make in the end.

All,

I have been asked a couple of times about setting up a node and I think we might be ready to make the plunge.

Is there a Dummies Guide to AG?

I am looking for the specs' on what av and computer equipment is required and an overall description of how it all works. Wiring/block diagrams of a working system would be a bonus.

We are not worrying about budget at this point, so I am looking for the best of everything.

Thanks
Jim
