Re: [AG-TECH] Trouble with Osprey 230 on Linux?

Hi Thad,

Have you tried any of the Video for Linux programs aside from VIC to see if the cameras work? http://www.exploits.org/v4l/
You should also see the appropriate /dev/video* devices there too if the modules are loaded; do they exist?
Also, for my own Linux video cameras I have to do the following in a startup script:

setv4l /dev/video0 brightness 32768 hue 32768 colour 64000 contrast 32768 whiteness 0

setv4l /dev/video1 brightness 32768 hue 32768 colour 64000 contrast 32768 whiteness 0

So, you might try that too?

Has anyone had trouble with getting any of the Osprey capture cards to work under Linux? I have an Osprey 230 I intend to use for a PIG but I don't seem to be able to get a video signal through it. The system is a SUSE 10.1 system running kernel 2.6.16. All of the built- in BTTV modules, etc seem to be loading properly.

Thanks,

Thad
