RE: [AG-TECH] Starting VIC & RAT manually

This has gotten us part way there.

Actually there are two separate videoservice directories videoproducerservice and videoconsumerservice. It does not seem to matter which is run to launch the VIC to participate in the session.

I am able to launch RAT and have good bidirectional audio with the group. The VIC however seems to not recognize the incoming video from the group. I can send video from my Logitec USB camera but cannot receive.

Further thoughts would be appreciated.

Go to C:\Documents and Settings\<your username>\Application Data\AccessGrid\local_services\AudioService

rat.exe -t 127 233.14.223.22/57014

Then cd to C:\Documents and Settings\<your username>\Application Data\AccessGrid\local_services\VideoService

vic.exe -t 127 233.14.223.22/57016

I am not sure inSORS allows you to jump on board like that, without using their interface. If this works, let me know.

I am anticipating the need to have some AGTk2.4 users join sessions initiated through our inSORS venue server to any one of four venues we host at The University of Montana. I know that I have seen references on this list regarding starting the VIC & RAT manually to join an existing session but I have not found sufficient detail to allow me to successfully connect to one of these sessions.

Environment:

Dell Optiplex GX280

Windows XP SP2

AGTk 2.4 fully functional via Venue Client

Session being configured by inSORS venue server:

IP 233.14.223.22            Video port 57016           Audio port 57014

Please provide exact syntax for command entry.

Thanks in advance,
