Software Tools
In order to enable application developers to easily build solvers running on Condor and Globus
we developed the following tools :
- MW : MW enables users to write fault-tolerant master-worker applications running on top
of metacomputing platform in a seamless way.
- iMW : iMW is a CORBA layer sitting on top of MW applications. iMW extends interfaces
pioneered in NEOS. It allows web-based submission, monitor and steering of metacomputing applications.
- iNEOS : iNEOS is a CORBA based client-server environment allowing distant applications (for
example a simulator and an optimizer) to collaborate.
- PBB : PBB is a framework for parallel implementation of branch-and-bound
algorithms in grid environments.
- Modeling/Condor : provides an interface to submit multiple optimization jobs to
Condor from the AMPL and GAMS modeling languages.
