1.1.1. Why am I unable to join any shared application sessions?

1. If your machine previously had 2.1.2 installed, the old application directory remains and causes problems for 2.2 shared applications. You can fix this by renaming:

(Windows) C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\AccessGrid\SharedApplications

(Linux) .AccessGrid\SharedApplications

and restarting the venue client.

1.1.2. VIC and RAT do not start when entering a venue.

1. Remove the GLOBUS_HOSTNAME environment variable.

(Windows) In the Control Panel go to System - Advanced and klick the Environment Variables button. Delete the GLOBUS_HOSTNAME entry.
